Talk to ME--Opal Lee
Following his June 19th White House Oval Office signing ceremony for the Juneteenth National Independence Act, making it a federal holiday commemorating emancipation, President Joe Biden called the 94- year-old activist who labored for decades to make it happen, Opal Lee, an "incredible woman!"
After my robust and revealing TALK TO ME Special Edition interview with the "Grandmother of Juneteenth" , I wholeheartedly agree. Our riveting conversation - ranging from her richly rewarding White House visit and President Biden's tribute to her Juneteenth journey, to the nation's ongoing divisive debate over Critical Race Theory - is arguably the very best interview I've ever done with a civil rights "Shero" during my seasoned journalism career! Join us and learn why Opal Lee is "extra-special"!.

It was a pleasure for our Atlanta Video Network video crews to produce this video with organist Ken Double at the console of Mighty Mo. Mighty Mo is one of the great theater organs still in use today. This is a temporary console installed while a major restoration was completed on the original Mighty Mo console. The unmistakable sounds are true Mighty Mo! Enjoy this concert presented by the ATOS Atlanta Chapter and the Fabulous Fox Theatre.
